The Mission & Outreach Ministry: Faith in Action and Invitation
The Mission & Outreach Ministry is the outward-facing heart of Midstream Methodist Church. Guided by a vision to see lives transformed and communities impacted, our objective is twofold: to be the “Voice” of the church through evangelism and partnerships, and the “Hands” of the church through practical community projects. We unite to serve others, share the love of Jesus, and make a lasting, positive impact for the glory of God.
As the “Hands” of the church, we are dedicated to tangible social relief that restores dignity to the vulnerable. We run specific, targeted initiatives throughout the year, including our “Feed a Friend” food pack program, which supplies thousands of meals to households in need. We also facilitate the “Empowered Girls” sanitary drive, assemble “Mother Theresa” baby bags to support newborns, and host regular community clothing sales and winter drives.
As the “Voice” of the church, we focus on the Great Commission by driving evangelism initiatives and extending compassionate care through hospital visitation teams. We actively manage strategic, long-term partnerships with organizations like Ditshego House of Laughter, providing ongoing support and special festive outreach, ensuring that our local community experiences the love of Christ in both word and deed.
