I am truly delighted to be the one leading the charge here at Midstream Methodist Church. My focus is simple: fostering deep spiritual growth and building an authentic connection within our community. I firmly believe in preaching the Word of God in a way that is relevant to our modern lives, and I am passionate about serving our local area with practical, heartfelt compassion. I sincerely invite you to join me in worship and fellowship as we grow together in faith and work to fulfill our mission here in Midstream.

Alpha is a welcoming, no-pressure space designed for anyone curious about the Christian faith. You’ll explore the big questions of life, faith, and meaning through films and honest, small-group discussion over several weeks. There’s no charge or commitment, and no question is too simple. Meet Pastor Alex van Rooi: Our Youth and Discipleship Leader.
Pastor Alex van Rooi leads our vibrant Youth Ministry with passion and purpose. He is also the driving force behind the Young Adults Life Group and guides candidates through the Confirmation process. Beyond these leadership roles, Alex occasionally preaches in the main church and actively participates in the Men’s Fellowship and other church volunteer activities.

Meet Ayanda Nenemba: Leading Our Children’s Ministry.
Ayanda Nenemba is the vibrant leader of our Children’s Ministry, overseeing both Sunday School and our popular, community-wide Holiday Club. The Holiday Club, offered during the winter recess, provides a fun, faith-filled experience open to all children in Midstream and surrounding areas. Ayanda occasionally shares her spiritual insight by preaching at our main services.
